Happy Birthday to me!

Well, the flu is gone and I'm left with bronchitis - a seemingly endless condition that lasts from the first cold in the season (September) through eternity because my immune system has decided to work for the enemy and refuses to fight off the numerous colds and flus that i catch every winter. As soon as one clears up, I catch another and back to bronchitisville I go. I'd like to just take a good fat pipe cleaner to my bronchial tubes and see how good that works at overcoming the nagging cough that is just deep enough to worry me that I'll pee myself if I cough hard enough to bring a moment of relief...

So SH (Super Husband) made me truly scrumptious french toast for breakfast... his is truly the best - the secret? a little sugar, a little cinnamon and a little nutmeg in the egg/milk mixture. Mmmmmmm He likes real maple syrup, but I gotta tell you... I prefer Log Cabin, which we're out of.

He is now sled riding and I'm having some ME time. Later today we're going to dinner, then a movie - Vantage Point - and then out for a dessert and coffee... which is my favorite thing to do after a movie!

BG (Baby Girl) flew to Texas to see her husband this weekend and I'll be picking her up at the airport on Monday. Unfortunately I'm probably going to miss my doctor's appointment for my bronchitis because of it.

My middle daughter is away at her boyfriend's for the weekend... this week she got one huge step closer to moving back out on her own - probably be less than a month now. I'm really glad because we have passed our expiration date of cohabitating. We are close and get a long really well until we pass that expiration date - then we just get bitchy. She gets a little snotty, probably from frustration, and then I start getting frustrated and a little snotty and we just try to stay out of each other's way.

We got a ton of snow, so everyone is snowed in. Bri (my eldest daughter) called and unsuccessfully tried to get my 3 year old grandson to sing happy birthday to me. He's so stinking cute!

My dad is in New York working and he called first thing this morning. I just love him to pieces.

Mom stopped by last night with soup, cold medicine and a shamrock plant, as well as some canned cat food for her cats because she forgot to take it out of the bag.

I was hoping to go to Sing Sing - a dueling piano bar - tonight, but figured the smoke wouldn't do me much good... so SH promised to take me when I'm all better.

I don't like this age thing... just sayin'...
